This sure looks like Retention Plate Wear! Now the real question is Why? Were the lobes cut at an angle? This would cause the Camshaft to be Forced Forward. Is the Distributor Gear still Cast Iron. Is the Oil Pressure to High and exerting forward force on the Camshaft
