There is Fine Threads on the Top of the Carburetor Baseplate Studs, and Course on the Intake Side. You install them "Finger Tight" with Anti Seeze on the Course Threads. You do not want them "Rusting" or "Busting". In no case are they to be installed into the intake Snug
