  • Right off I noticed that it was missing the Accelerator Pump, Air Horn Screws, correct Thermostat Housing. The list goes on. Not only that but they just screwed down the Air Horn and did not worry about aligning the Main Metering Rods.

  • Needless to say they were bent over like a Fossil. The Anti Fuel Slosh Baffle was cracked. The inside was covered with corosion. In some cases it is salvagable but definately on the close end of death.

  • Here is a shot of the Anti Slosh Fuel Baffle. This little item is to eliminate the fuel from running forward during hard braking. It takes up the space and attempts to keep correct metering.

  • You can see the rusted conditon of the Air Horn. I can fix this but the pitting on the surface of the metal does not go away with plating. Luckly it will be hard to see with the Air Cleaner Installed. It will function fine though.

  • Got to love that Do unto Others Rule. Look at the corrosion in the Float Bowl. I hope the Rear Fuel Metering Washers come free during the chemical stripping. They are a Pain In the Ass to replace.
